Students in this pathway can:
  • Build core welding and fabrication skills in the fall
  • Advance skills in the spring capstone and complete an individual project
  • Earn Butte College credit (spring)

The Butte County ROP Early Childhood Education program is an intensive, year-long course designed for students ready to dive into the world of child development.  
 
Students in this pathway can earn:
  • 6 College Credits (Articulated with Butte College).
  • CPR Certification.
  • Mandated Reporting Certification.
  • CA Child Development Assistant Permit (Eligible to apply upon successful completion).
 
Hearthstone Students will benefit from:
  • Support balancing field-based experience and coursework with graduation requirements
  • Transportation to ROP courses in Chico is available upon request

Students engaged in learning with an anatomical heart.
Medical & Hospital Careers
 
A full-year healthcare pathway for students interested in nursing, medicine, and allied health careers.
 
Students in this pathway can: 
  • Earn Basic Life Support (BLS) with CPR certification
  • Earn up to 9 dual-enrolled Butte College credits
  • Participate in a spring capstone with supervised clinical experience (requirements apply)

Hearthstone students benefit from:
  • Flexible scheduling for a demanding clinical course
  • Transportation to ROP courses in Chico is available upon request
  • Staff guidance with health requirements (TB testing, immunizations)

The ROP Residential and Commercial Construction program is a full-year, hands-on course designed to introduce students to the building and construction trades.  
 
Students in this pathway can earn:
  • 6 College Credits (Articulated with Butte College).
  • OSHA 10 Certification (Industry-standard safety credential).
  • NCCER Core Certification (Nationally recognized construction craft credit).
  • Practical Experience in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing basics.
 
Hearthstone students benefit from:
  • Transportation to ROP construction courses in Chico is available upon request.

Digital Arts Pathway - Photography

Career Education: 1-Semester Intensive Course (Fall)

 
This single-semester course helps students bridge the gap between high school and the professional world through research and real-world planning.  
 
Students will:
    • Develop a comprehensive 10-year action plan for education and career goals
    • Learn essential life skills including budgeting, goal setting, and decision-making
    • Engage with guest speakers from various industries to learn about diverse career paths
    • Conduct in-depth research into potential careers and educational requirements  
 
This pathway is ideal for students who:
    • Want to earn 3 units of college credit through Dual Enrollment with Butte College
    • Seek a structured way to plan their financial and professional future
    • Course is available as part of our flexible scheduling options for students. Ask if you qualify.

Digital Arts: 2-Year Pathway

 
Explore digital arts as a creative career pathway with a focus on digital photography.
Students build both artistic and technical skills while learning how visual media is used in creative industries.
 
Students will:
    • Learn digital photography techniques and camera operation
    • Develop skills in composition, lighting, and digital image editing
    • Create a professional portfolio of original work
    • Earn college credit through articulation with Butte College
 
This pathway is ideal for students who:
    • Are interested in creative careers in arts, media, or design
    • Want hands-on, project-based learning
    • Prefer an on-campus CTE option
    • Want to earn college credit while exploring a creative field
